Fitness and recreation play a big role in healthy aging. At ElderHouse, our wellness programs keep older adults active, bringing both physical and mental health benefits. Each program is designed to help seniors stay strong, engaged, and thriving every day.
With over 48 years of experience, ElderHouse offers activities that combine gentle movement, creativity, and social interaction. Each day is thoughtfully planned to meet individual needs while fostering joy, connection, and a welcoming sense of community.
Students from both the middle and high school grades visit ElderHouse weekly during the school year as part of our intergenerational program, which fosters social connection through shared learning experiences between generations.
Participation in this program not only enhances emotional and psychological well-being but also bridges the gap between these age groups through conversation, activities, and games.
ElderHouse provides daily programs that boost well-being and brighten each day. From group activities to personal hobbies, every session encourages movement, creativity, and joy.
At ElderHouse, we believe social connection builds confidence and a positive outlook. Clients share interests, make new friends, and enjoy a true sense of belonging in our welcoming community.
ElderHouse memory care programs support those with Alzheimer’s and dementia through calm routines and engaging activities that bring comfort, familiarity, and mental stimulation.
At ElderHouse, enrichment means more than daily routines. With themed events, special visitors, and festive activities, each week offers something fun and engaging to enjoy.
testimonial
My mother developed dementia and could not live alone so she moved in with us. I was working and had elementary school children. ElderHouse was the perfect solution. The bus drivers and staff are kind and caring and truly care about each client. I recommend it to everyone in the greater Norwalk area.
